North Africa is a relatively unexplored territory for G&J Resources. The overwhelming support and hospitality afforded to us at the 2016 North African Coatings Congress (NACC) was beyond our expectations. We met and conversed with more than 50 customers who showed a keen interest in our TiO2 products and in our new Vacuum Metallized Pigment product line. We had the pleasure of meeting with a multitude of end users from the paint and coatings industry, many of whom took samples for testing.
Everyone in the TiO2 business is aware of the current volatility in the TiO2 market and that chloride process TiO2 is its future. Our CEO, George Chen, illustrated the TiO2 manufacturing situation in China to a diverse audience during his speech at the NACC. Environmental regulations from the Chinese government are going to play a defining role in the future supply of TiO2 as a shift from sulphate process to the more advanced (and environmentally friendly) chloride process occurs.
Judging by the economic development in the African continent and the reception of our products, we are confident that our success will continue in this market as we endeavor to develop long-term relationships with outstanding companies in North Africa.
